The Arkham storyline starts a couple of months after the Batman Asylum plot closes. The now Gotham City leader, Quincy Sharp has moved Gotham's crooks to a blockaded region inside the heart of the city... presently Arkham City, run by Dr. Hugo Strange. Clearly, this stands out just enough to be noticed, and of course, Batman must research what happens inside its dividers.
